Ahead of the new Jim Simons book that just arrived, I started reading Flash Boys as a sort of appetizer.

Seen through a financial market lens, this is a historical commentary five years later.

From the perspective of tech entrepreneurship, product development, market research and fit, it feels entirely current.

A notion came to mind, reading through initial chapters, and remembering the ad tech map from roughly the same time…

This also is a category based on programmable, high-volume, high-frequency trade on private exchanges.

Presumably, the answers to persistent questions and a better understanding of the flows led to needed improvements and efficiencies, though I’m anticipating and jumping ahead.

Perhaps a similar opportunity presents itself in all the analogous segments.
